Pad for CO2 incapacitation of Drosophila and other insects. Fits ~3/4 cm interior diameter tubing. The bottom, four walls, and tube are set to 100% infill. The top layers are set to 85% infill, allowing for CO2 to seep through. ~ 16 x 9 x 2.4 cm. Prints in one piece.
In general, it costs about 8 US dollars in materials and takes us ~12 to 14 hours to print at the Brandeis MakerLab. Not only is this less than a tenth the cost of a traditional fly pad, it is readily customized. A lab logo is a nice touch.
